The second contact (usually the set) and third contact (usually the attack over the net) should be relatively clean and free of double contacts. This means that the players’ hands contact the ball simultaneously. Soccer Rules

Soccer Rules The ‘Girl Rule’ If a female has possession of the ball in her half of the field (the half that her team is defending), a male player from the opposing team is not allowed to guard or dispossess her. Only a female from the opposing team is allowed to dispossess or guard another female in her defensive half of the field. A male player may only dispossess or guard a female once she crosses midfield and enters her attacking half of the field. If there is a 50/50 ball in a female’s defensive half of the field, a male is allowed to play for the ball. However, if the female wins the 50/50 ball, the male player must step away, and the ‘Girl Rule’ applies as outlined above. Shooting Rules A female can take a shot at any time. For a male to take a shot, a female must first touch the ball in her team’s attacking half (the half in which her team is trying to score). Once the female makes a touch, the ball is considered ‘live’ (meaning any player on the team is now allowed to shoot). Throw-ins and Corner Kicks If the ball goes out of bounds for a throw-in or a corner kick in the team’s attacking half and the ball is not live yet, a female may take the throw or the kick, thereby making the ball live. Live Ball Rules The live ball process starts over if the ball is played back into the team’s defensive half. If the ball has been made live and goes out for a throw-in, corner kick, or goal kick, the ball remains live. If the attacking team loses possession in their attacking half but later regains possession of the ball, the ball remains live as long as it did not cross the midfield line. No Offsides No offsides are enforced in the game. SPORTSMANSHIP The idea of LXC is to have fun. We hope that all participants keep that in mind when becoming involved. Kickball Rules

Kickball Rules CLICK HERE TO SEE A VIDEO OF THE RULES HAVE FUN!!! SEE FIELD DIAGRAM AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE Fielders Outfielders must be beyond the outfield line until the kicker makes contact. Infielders (including the pitcher) must be behind the 1st to 3rd diagonal. The catcher must be at least 3 feet behind the plate. Pitching Strike Zone: The plate plus 1 foot on either side and 1 foot high. The height of the ball is measured from the bottom of the ball at the highest point of the last bounce. The ball must be thrown underhand. The ball must bounce at least 3 times before crossing the plate. The pitcher must have one foot on the centerline when releasing the ball. The pitcher can’t leave the box until the ball is kicked. No curveballs. NO AGGRESSIVE PITCHING 4 balls is a walk, 3 strikes is an out (foul on the 3rd strike is an out). Kicking All players kick and must kick in alternating male/female order. The ball must cross or touch the kick line before it is kicked. Balls kicked before touching the line will be foul balls and live. Fair balls must cross the bunt line in fair territory to be fair. Balls touched before the bunt line are foul. Runners Runners must run to the safety bases at 1st and home. An out will be awarded if the runner does not tag the safety base at home. Safety Base at First Base: Must be used whenever the ball is kicked into the infield, or if there is a play at first base. If not used, the runner will be called OUT. If the ball is kicked into the outfield, the runner may use first base to round the bag to second base. In this case, the first baseman must move off the bag to allow the runner to round first. Otherwise, it will be called obstruction and the runner will automatically be called safe at second. Only headfirst sliding is acceptable. It is always a force out at home plate (this only applies to home plate). If there are 2 outs and a runner crosses home plate before or after a force out at another base, the run does not count at home. Runners may tag up as in softball as soon as the kickball is touched by the fielder. Runners do not need to wait until the ball is completely caught, as balls occasionally bounce in the air off the fielders. Runners may be thrown out by hitting them directly with the ball. Balls may not be thrown at runners above the shoulders. If a player is hit in the head, they are automatically safe. No leading off or stealing. Runners passing the commit line between 3rd and home must advance. It is always a force out at home (even with no runners on 1st and 2nd). If a runner is hit by the ball, the play remains live. If a runner intentionally runs into a fielder or is out of control when running and collides with a fielder, they will be called OUT. This is at the umpire’s discretion and may not be argued. Run Rule 7-6-5 The run rule does not take effect until a team is winning by 7 or more runs. It is never in effect for a team that is losing. Once a team is up by 7, the following inning, the max they can score is 6, then the next 5. The run rule stays at 5 until the end of the game or until the opposing team closes the margin to 7 or under. If the score is less than 7 runs difference at any time, the run rule goes back to 7. League Info and Policies Payment Payment is due in full by noon the day after your first game. The remaining balance will be charged to your card at that time. Any teams not paid will not be added to Week 2’s schedule. League Start Dates We do our best to start all leagues as initially scheduled. Every league needs at least 4 teams to start. If there are fewer than 4 teams, a league will be pushed back 2-3 weeks in hopes of adding enough teams. We will notify you as soon as there are enough teams or if the league will be postponed again. After a league is rescheduled, refunds can be issued upon request. Schedule Week 1’s schedule will be released at least 3 days prior to the start date. Rosters will be frozen after Week 3’s games. After that, all additions must go through the LXC office. Subs are allowed and should be added to the roster accordingly. Subs for the tournament must be approved by the LXC office. The approved sub can only play if the team is short players and must have played at least 1 game during the season. Forfeits If you forfeit, you are cheating a team out of a game that they paid to play. Please make every effort to get enough players to the game. Even if it’s not a full team, we can make a game happen. If you must forfeit, please let us know ASAP so we can do our best to get the other team a game. Multiple forfeits may result in an extra fee. Pickleball Rules

Pickleball Rules ABSOLUTELY NO GLASS ALLOWED. Drinks must either be in cups, plastic bottles, or koozies. Equipment and Field of Play LXC will provide the nets and balls. Teams must bring their own paddles. The field of play is rectangular, measuring 44 feet long by 20 feet wide, divided into 2 halves by a center dividing net. Each half has a line that is 7 feet away and parallel with the net. This indicates a no-volley zone, also known as “The Kitchen.” Teams/Substitutions Each team consists of 2 players. Mixed: No gender restrictions. Men’s: Two male players required. Women’s: Two female players required. Game Duration Matches consist of 3 games for the official score. All three games must be played, and the total games won out of 3 will be recorded. If a team decides to quit after 2 games, the opponent will receive an automatic win for the 3rd game. If additional time remains in the hour, teams are encouraged to keep playing for fun until time runs out. Games will be played to 11 points, win by 2, with a cap at 13. Start of Play Team captains will play rock, paper, scissors. The winner can choose to serve first or select the side of the court they prefer. Serving The ball is served underhand and diagonally to the opponent’s service court. Player A serves → If Team AB wins the point, Player A switches positions with Player B and serves. This continues until Player A faults. After Player A faults, Player B serves. After Player B faults, the serve goes to the other team. The serve CAN bounce before making contact with the server’s paddle. Serves must cross the non-volley line on the opponent’s side. If the serve lands in the non-volley zone or on the non-volley line, it is considered a fault, and the other team gets the ball. Serves must be made underhand and below the waist. The server must be positioned behind the baseline and in their quadrant of the court. Only one serve attempt is allowed. Let serves are considered IN play. The Double-Bounce Rule When the ball is served, the receiving team must let it bounce before returning, and then the serving team must let it bounce before returning. This creates two bounces. After the ball has bounced once in each team’s court, both teams may either hit the ball before it bounces or play it off a bounce. Any ball that lands on the line is considered in. Scoring A point is scored if the returning team fails to return the ball or if the returning team commits a fault. Faults A fault is any action that stops play due to a rule violation. Faults include: The ball is hit into the net on the serve or any return. The ball is volleyed before a bounce has occurred on each side. The ball is hit out of bounds. A ball is volleyed from the non-volley zone. A ball bounces twice before being struck by the receiver. A player, player’s clothing, or any part of a player’s paddle touches the net or the net post while the ball is in play. There is a violation of a service rule. A ball in play strikes a player or anything the player is wearing or carrying. A ball in play strikes any permanent object before bouncing on the court. Non-Volley Zone (aka “The Kitchen”) The non-volley zone is the court area within 7 feet on both sides of the net. Volleying is prohibited within the non-volley zone. This rule prevents players from executing smashes from a position within the zone. It is a fault if, when volleying a ball, the player steps on the non-volley zone (including the line) or if the player’s momentum causes them or anything they are wearing or carrying to touch the non-volley zone or its lines. It is also a fault if, after volleying, a player is carried by momentum into or touches the non-volley zone, even if the volleyed ball is declared dead before this happens. A player may legally be in the non-volley zone any time other than when volleying a ball. Cancellations/Rainouts/Snowouts Makeup weeks are built into the end of each season unless otherwise specified. All players will be notified via text/email if games are canceled. Team captains will be notified via text message if there is less than an hour’s notice for canceled games (including forfeits if we know about them ahead of time). If more than one cancellation occurs, LXC will try to find another week if possible, but this is not guaranteed. If inclement weather or other factors limit the scheduled game duration and more than half of the game has been played, the game shall count as the full game. Forfeits Teams have until 10 minutes past the designated start time to field the minimum requirement. A forfeit will be scored 5-0. LXC officials will make every effort to complete a forfeited game with a mixed set of remaining players. If your team is going to forfeit, PLEASE call or text our office at 502-384-7529 or email havefun@lxcsports.com. Forfeit Penalties First Forfeit: Loss of game and warning issued. Second Forfeit: Loss of game and LXC reserves the right to remove the team from playoffs. Third Forfeit: Loss of game and removal from the league with no refund. Please notify us early if you have to forfeit. Early notice gives us a chance to find a replacement team for your opponent to play. League Schedule All teams are scheduled for a minimum of 6 matches. The top teams will make the single-elimination tournament on the 7th week. The number of teams that qualify will vary depending on the number of teams in your league and available court space. Standings Standings are sorted by winning percentage first. If the winning percentage is tied, standings are then sorted by head-to-head match-up wins. If 3 or more teams are tied, the next tie-breaker is average
